What’s New in Hiperwall System 2026 R2

See more. From more sources. Ask your AI, and the wall answers.

The wall you already own does more.

Hiperwall System 2026 R2 arrives September 1, 2026.

Capture anything. Put it on the wall. Whole or cropped.

For the first time, Hiperwall captures at the application level. Entire displays, individual windows and applications, browser tabs, connected capture devices: all on the wall. Two apps deliver it.

HiperSource Anything on the source PC: pick a region from any capture, and the cropped content appears on the Hiperwall video wall.

HiperSource Anything

New in 2026 R2, for Windows. The newest member of the HiperSource family, and the most capable:

  • Crop anything to the part that matters. Display, window, or device: crop any capture to show just the piece you need, without the clutter around it.
  • Comes back on its own. Sources go down: PC reboots, updates, app restarts. When they come back, capture resumes on its own, right where it was.
  • Light on the source machine. Hardware-accelerated encoding (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) keeps capture from weighing down the PC it runs on.
  • Control the source from the wall. Keyboard-and-mouse (KVM) control of the captured PC, with file transfer in both directions.

Crops are saved with each capture, and one machine can carry several: capture two applications on the same PC, crop each to its own region, and place them side by side on the wall as independent sources. And because the crop happens before anything is encoded, only the cropped region ever crosses the network: cropped sources run lighter, and pixels outside the crop never leave the source machine.

HiperSource Sender

Upgraded, for any Java-capable device. The cross-platform source app gains individual application and browser-tab capture, not just whole screens, plus the same KVM control and two-way file transfer.

Both apps draw from the standard HiperSource license pool: existing customers run the new flagship capture app on licenses they already own.

Localized for global operations

Operators work in their own language: fewer misreads under pressure, and international teams deploy without an English-only constraint.

HiperController, HiperSource Anything, HiperSource Sender, and HiperOperator each ship in 15+ languages, including right-to-left languages like Arabic and Hebrew.

New in 2026 R2: the Hiperwall suite in 15+ languages, right-to-left ready.

A wall that speaks AI

New in 2026 R2, every source and every content object can carry semantic tags: what it is, where it is, what it shows. Searchable meaning for your operators, ready context for your AI.

Tagged sources in the Hiperwall Control Panel, a plain-language request to an AI assistant, and the Hiperwall video wall showing the result.

Hiperwall MCP Server

Hiperwall’s own MCP server puts those tags to work: your AI finds content by meaning, opens it, arranges it, all under operator control.

  • Tagging is AI work too. Tag sources from the names they already carry, one at a time or the whole wall in a batch.
  • Your AI, your network. Cloud or fully local, whichever AI you trust; the MCP server and your wall stay on your network.

MCP (the Model Context Protocol) is an open standard, so Hiperwall works with the AI assistants and agent tools your team already uses.

Two new tools, included

Two new tools arrive with 2026 R2: live system health for the wall, and network diagnostics in minutes.

System Monitor

New, a content object. Put live system health on the wall like any other content: any position, any size, right next to the operations it supports. System status, a clock, and HiperCare health, also in HiperOperator and Hiperwall Chat.

Hiperwall Multicast Test Tool

New, installs with the suite. It replaces network guesswork with measurements: real multicast traffic driven across your display network, stream by stream, receiver by receiver.

Drive traffic at a bitrate and duration you choose, then see what actually arrived: packets sent and received, sequence gaps, reordering, duplicates, throughput in Mbps, and a loss percentage color-coded against healthy, marginal, and problem thresholds. A built-in unicast bandwidth test rules the raw link in or out. Results export to CSV, so the findings leave the site as evidence rather than an impression.

Hardened across the suite

Beyond the headliners, 2026 R2 hardens the suite end to end: the wall you already run gets steadier and more secure.

  • HiperView on AMD. Video decoding is now hardware-accelerated on AMD GPUs.
  • All-new TLS security. A new certificate infrastructure secures communication between Hiperwall components. 2026 R2 components pair only with 2026 R2 and later. If your deployment runs several Hiperwall components, plan to upgrade them together.
  • HiperSource Browser. Updated to the latest Chromium engine.
  • HiperSource IP Streams. Improved memory efficiency and connection resilience.
  • Plus stability and driver-compatibility fixes across products.

About Hiperwall

Hiperwall, Inc. develops a visual operations platform: video wall software for mission-critical environments — command centers, emergency operations, security and network operations — as well as lobby, meeting-room, and other presentation spaces. Hiperwall software runs on standard hardware the customer chooses. It is AV-over-IP with no proprietary controller at the center to fail and no cloud dependency: every source, on any display, entirely on the customer’s own network. Founded from NSF-funded research at the University of California, Irvine, Hiperwall is US-owned, designed and engineered in the USA, with more than 4,000 installations worldwide, spanning defense, public-safety, transportation, utilities, and education operations.
