Typical Control Room Configuration

The Video Wall displays all of the sender content that originates at the senders in a layout determined by the controller. Each Sender image is updated on a continuous basis, so the content on the Video Wall always matches the content on the Sender's monitor.

The Video Wall

Hiperwall enables a group of people to see multiple pieces of the "big picture," even though those pieces might be originating from different applications running on different PCs. This make Hiperwall ideal for the monitoring and control of complex systems such as:
- fleet management
- power grids
- military campaigns
- trading floors
- patient monitoring
- political campaigns
- manufacturing systems
- real-time enterprise management
The Senders are ordinary PCs that "send" continuously updated duplicates of their screen images to the wall. Whatever is displayed on the sender's monitor is identically displayed as an object on the wall. There is no specific limit to the number of Senders that can be used in a control room configuration.

Senders

Controller

The Controller manages how all of the sender objects are displayed on the wall. Using the controller, a human operator can control the size and location of each sender object as easily as moving and resizing the windows on a computer's desktop. The operator can also control transparency, rotation and shading attributes for each object to achieve desired visual effects.
